I test rode a Bianchi CV [countervail] top end bike in 2013-14. It so impressed me, but coin was crazy, no accusation.

Fast forward: For my B-day a nice used Specialissima CV Rim brake matte Celeste frameset landed.

I got a 61, and it seems insane to me the frame is only 931 grams. Haven't weighed the fork/HS yet. This is a 2016-17 era frame.

Anyway, the last road hurray is getting SR12 I've been sitting on. Waiting on a UT BB for it, else it would have been rolling 2 hours after it landed. Fits 28mm tires too. This should ride like butta... like butta!

It will be rolling some 1200 gram wheels as well, Stans climbing tubeless wheels I wound up getting free after breaking up 2 bikes I bought to sell off few seasons back.

Poised to be my lightest bike yet. Lightest so far was the Scott Addict LTD/ISP Dura ace 7800 with 1200 gram carbon tubulars which was that was 15lb.

A celeste bisnchi is on my bucket list. Gotta be a great frame.

Back in Joisey 97ish I built a CX Celeste Bianchi. Is was a bit tanky I recall being my reason for letting it go. Pretty wasn't enough apparently then. ;)

Here is the built pic from the PL seller. Funny, he bought it from a guy locally here I've got good amount of stuff from, also a Paceliner. But the CV was on the bucket list more so than the Celeste if I am honest.
I almost got a Black one with the Celeste outline logos few seasons back. I have warmed back up to black, the Sendona is black and may have something to do with it. Black looks so good for the 15 minutes it stays clean, ;)

Just test fit 30mm on it. Fit fair to good.

Really I was after the Infinito CV rim brake initially. But the Domane SLR/RSL is it's equal pretty much. Actually the SLR has a front end between RR and Endurance HTA of 72^ like the reg Domane and Infinto. Dan will attest the SLR front end is different, and to me a fav of all time. 72.8 HTA with 5.3 Trail. Not chopper slow like endurance fronts, but not ultra fast either. For all day brisk effort, really a nice geom.
And the SLR has an 1" more WB than a RR so Stable Mable yet spirited over blips and crud, yada

So yeah, bucket list bike. Just like the SLR which took as long to find frankly. Wondering if this will bump the Extreme Power... Time will tell...



I may try some mustard colored tape that's close to the Bianchi Mango. I do have some Celestte tape.
I have a saddle that is close in color to the off mango bianchi uses. But I do have a NIB SMP black saddle. I have a white one on the Extreme Power and it likes my butt and is weight weenie grade.

Hoping that's mechanical SR12 you're sitting on...but 'sitting on' implies that. Campag mech is briliant, electronic is horrible.

Yeah, Campy 11/12s mech for me. Di2 on the shimano side, 11s.

The ergos are a hand fit perfecto for my mitts too. Not to mention the 11s Ti/ Cult and the SR12s are as light as it gets or I'd ever need.

I'm finding the SRAM hoods more comfortable than the Ekar or 11s SR. But I'm also a little more laid out on my racing bike so I engage them a little differently.
