Did about 20mi z1 today in Amsterdam. We all know the cycling infrastructure is amazing here but it's something else to experience it firsthand. This is proof that riding in a city doesn't have to suck and be an exercise in dealing with mortal terror every 30s.

Bike roads/paths nearly everwhere, drivers know to look for bikes when turning, for the most part everyone is respectful. I did get out of the city for a bit and that was nice to have some long open stretches.

Why can't every place be like this? [shakes fist at the universe]
