I did not ask, but looks like the panels are effectively blades at angles so it spins, right? So the VID is nature not a hand spin, yes?

How fast has it got going??

Hope it's an early Record/DuraAce/Sansin hub. ;)

I dig it! I could fabricate a pointing vane to have side of the wheel always perpendicular to the wind direction, need a mount on bottom with old headset to allow 360^ rotation. Should be pretty doable. ;)

Should be a Record headset though. ;)

The glass is soldered between spokes, basically flat. The slow spin at the beginning of the video is natural, the faster spin is pushed.

My friend Cheryl, the artist, got the wheel at the dump. I think it’s pretty cool with a Suntour low flange hub.

It looks good to me! Everything in it is repurposed.
