Pet Owners READ THIS. A Serious PSA!

>We learned the hard way last night that Emergency Pet Vet resources availability is highly compromised.

Assuming covid19 related.

SUGGEST: Get/Put a future plan together for possible need for these services, put it on the fridge on a larger post it note etc.

Make sure ahead of time if what might be your go to path is viable. A multi hour bog ensued for us last night for what would have once been one a phone call quest. And then a several stop driving around to what should have netted care more expeditiously.

It may not matter in our case, but a time sensitive emergency may not have your pet survive a similar bog.

Our 3 year old greyhound may not survive this situation. And ultimately this 'bog' may not have an effect on that outcome one way or the other.

I feel I should do a serious Pet PSA on this. Often time will be a determining factor. Put together a Pet ER Vet contingency plan.

Thanks

A good reminder. Never good when you need the emergency vet, but having a backup in mind is a great suggestion.

Best wishes for the pooch.

Nina is holding down water and food. We are doing frequent micro doses, boiled chicken, rice, eggs, etc.
Started mixing back in kibble this after noon.

I think the vet's call to inject her with a anti nausea shot was a good call.
