New Nature trails/park opened 4 miles from my house.

Few nice things unexpected too! I just did my maiden voyage earlier.

Unlike a lot of places round these parts, this has no dogs or horses allowed. Very uncommon. But probably due to the fall line/steepness.

50/50 graveled shared and dirt trail system with good dedicated MTB. The entire trail system goes down to a valley floor quickly. The MTB sections had some real muddy slimy single track. Lots of switchbacks due to the steepness. the Orange and brown are the graveled trails.

Some no touching the front brake on MTB in the muddy spots, but fun fun fun... Small, but the climbs out make it seem longer. ;)

My main issue with places that are parks with dogs allowed is two fold. Folks think leash laws are OK to ignore, and don't pick up dog's duty either. So your kids you are hiking with step in it, you run thru it with tires, yada.

Anyway, met some older fit folks from in town out checking out the new digs mostly. Enjoyed a few chat fests etc. I was the only bike/biker I saw in there...
