Aldi bikemate workstand

Aldi.us has a bike stand in their ad this week. Who knows, there might even be one in stock tomorrow morning.

Looks portable as all get out, stable too, height 42"-72" or "from just over a meter to a hand under under two meters." How's that for a hybrid measurement horse lovers. I linked to a .us domain, why even convert?

It's bound to be a different model from the one people have an informed opinion of, (re: Aldi,) so stating that up front might ward against the anticipated royal dicta. Or not.

Anyway, it's out there, you've been told, $24.99 might be attractive enough to decide a trip to the store to look at the clamp on a work stand that is priced less than one percent the purchase price of your mount is time well spent. Or not.

My local Aldi had them in stock. I don't like tripod style legs to trip over so I didn't buy one. I have a Park shop stand with the 75 pound base so I really have no earthly use for it, but its quite the value.

Hard to top a Park. Yeah, the photo in the flyer conveyed the tripping hazard, intentionally or not.

I thought the photo was actually pretty comical, between the way the bike is held (vertically) and the way the "mechanic" is standing awkwardly sideways to the bike. It's indicative of a product photographer that apparently didn't do any research into the way the product is used. Then again, the average Aldi shopper won't have a clue, either.

More importantly they had Mexican Coke in glass bottles.

We had some of that with lunch @ a VG Deli before we hiked up thru Lands End, south of the Golden Gate. And we don't drink soda. Corn syrup, we don't do much corn anything frankly...
