Why tilt your saddle forward?

YouTube channel Bike Fit Advisor

Bicycle Saddle Tilt : What do the pros do? What should you do?

Clip is marked to start where he gives three reasons pros tilt their saddles forward.

Tilt pelvis forward
Straighter back
Easier reach to lower bars

Before the mark it glosses the rule change from 3 to 9 degrees. Then eight minutes of advice.

It seems like a long-winded waste of time, as I doubt that many of us are going to change our saddle position away from something that we find comfortable just because the pros are doing it. I gave up 5 1/2 minutes into it.

If I was running 12-13CM saddle to bar drop, I might tilt a little.

Tilt that works

The amount of saddle tilt that is right for you is what works with your riding style, bike geometry, flexibility, saddle design, etc. If you're not sliding forward involuntarily and you are comfortable, you've got it.
