Trek Travel rental bikes for sale

They're replacing their bike inventory and selling off their used stock of Emondas and Domanes.

Worth noting the SLR is not new enough to have the adjustable seat ISO. IIRC, this also means it is a 700 series still made in US. The SLRs with the slide adjustment on the ST are all not. According to my almost SLR-10 RSL purchase and what the dealer told me.

Wow! That's some really attractive prices!

If only I'm not lusting after disc brakes...(for very practical reason)

Speaking of disc brakes: I have a long ride/day on the bike tomorrow the clubs Pioneer yearly Century. After my volunteer work of checking in others, I will hit the roads, weather clear and mid 70^, yum.

Thus the handle bar swap thread the other day.

Brakes: My 3 year old Tektro HY/RD pads contaminated. I Amazoned some Swiss Stops, The best and priced accordingly. Delivery to be 6/5-6/8 expected arrival, ride 6/2, no help.

I run and get Jagwire pads locally, 10.99 VS 25.99. Put them on last night and bed them. Stop only marginally better than the 3 year old ones, but Squeal! Chatter.

Yes I chem cleaned the rotors. EEESShh... these suck.

Of course the Swiss Stop got sent prime even though I am not a prime Amazonian, and came in the mail today.

So I popped off the jagwire organic pads with a mile of bedding on them, popped on the Swiss Stops.

Night and day, no chatter, no squeal, noticeable better stopping power. Modulation of course is better with out them chattering on the rotors, a given.

You get what you over pay for?

April: https://www.trekbicyclesuperstore.com/product-list/hot-deals-pg1480/

I think getting Superstore bike sent to a local Trek store is no charge.

They have some Cannodale and Domane Disc road bikes new for 40-50%. Other disc bike brands as well.

You may see something that checks enough boxes to consider.

Several Cannodale Disc models on that page. Unless you meant only Trek/Domane..

Yes, I was only looking at Trek/Domane.

[EDIT]Not against other brands. But the price on those Domane were good (granted, used, without disc). I'd take a chance on those "minimalist suspension" of the Domane.

Also, I'm not a Cannondale girl. Never found any of its bikes to my liking. Not sure what exactly is the issue. So it's on the bottom half if I were to start making a shopping list
