I’m hoping they put a G Force indicator on the display.

e-vehicles for racing...

...not a fan. unless they make the throttles controlled by a simple rheostat, it takes driver's aids to the extreme.

Flying Car?

Q:Hey, what was that red light that blinked on the dash for 1/2 sec.?

A:Oh, That was the accelerometer kicking in.

Q: When are they releasing the flying update that enables the gyro?

A: Soon, I am hoping...

As far as I can tell all those are all projected times, so it's jumping the gun a bit.

Also, they say nothing about performance on a race track, so I assume that they haven't made efforts to improve on that end. Their current cars will only last several minutes on a race track before slowing down due to batteries getting too hot. While they have been great at the drag strip, they are easily beaten on a race track by any hot hatch. To get to 250+ mph, they probably need to sacrifice cooling for aerodynamics, so a battery cooling system (radiators) that could improve race track performance might not be there.

I'm there

It's red like my Sachs and Domane, so it makes sense for me.

How long does it take to get 4 bikes and riders to a ride 200 miles away and back with this roadster?

Speaking of 0 to 60 times. I was reading recently about some of the old school Group B rally 4 wheel drive super cars. There was one, a Lancia I think, that could do 0 to 60 in 2.9 seconds, on gravel.

I wonder where they "measured" the torque output, at all four wheels perhaps or somewhere upstream of the drivetrain gearing.
10k nm (or 7.36k ft-lbs) sounds like a lot.

Even a sport bike with a wheelie bar and slick can do under 1.5s 0-60.

Old school rally cars

I'm sure there were some pretty funky machines - I believe a Saab Viggen broke the then Pike's Peak Hillclimb record - with 750 hp and 4WD...

For gas money, I used to tape a victim/sucker's 20 $ bill on the windshield of my 1970 442 W-30 Olds with 3:90 posi rear and B&M worked auto trans/converter.

The bet would be I'd keep the bill if they couldn't get it off the windshield before we hit 60. It got to 50 pretty quick. It only worked one summer as I relieved too many suckers 20s in a short time. My rep ostracized me from finding new donors.

I'm not even sure that Olds called their heavy hitters "big blocks", but I have no doubt yours could pull 390 gearing with some heavy G's.
And then, just as the hand got out the window, 2nd gear kicks and 60 was not far off.
My '67 455 CS had a 'glide so no shifting at all below 65, frightening all that tonnage traveling at speed on bias tires and live axle, nothing but wheelbase keeping twitch motion in check.

"nothing but wheelbase keeping twitch motion in check"

LOL, no sheit.

The W-30 engine had marine heads with huge rectangular ports, matching cast exhaust manifolds, and and an AL big port intake manifold. And huge valves to go with. ;)

400HP/500FtLb originally, no idea what the .030 over pistons, pick of cam, and 1150carb did to up it if at all. As well and low restriction mufflers, origs very bad in this regard. [Inserts Tim Allen Tool Time Grunts]

6 levels of cams across the options, I had the hottest [for manual] cams with a Turbo 400 with a medium stall converter. And some B&M valve and clutch packs. I also put a Hemi 1150 CFM Carter spread bore carb, and the air cleaner was open on top so the hood scoops did the ram air cold air thing.

The frame in the convertible makes for more weight on the rear axle, which helped it stick a little better presumably. My friend [where I got the idea from to get one] had a coupe that didn't hook up nearly as well IMO.

Found it's twin on the internet.

Looks like Olds made a big small-block, and sounds like you rolled your own W-45.

It was 455ci plus what ever .030 added. 461 according to an app I just ran.

Wasn't W-35 a Hurst and Ralley option on 350ci cars? Googling shows it was a rocket 350?

By the way, @ 17 years old, I rebuilt and dropped a 455 with Turbo 400 into my 1967 Cuttlass Supreme. I bought it because it had a 10 bolt posi. I found later it was only 3.08. I also converted it to disc brakes up front when I rebuilt the front end for the weight of the 455 and new bigger springs.

It was a beast.

I bought my '67 Cutlass Supreme during the first gas crisis for under $300, it was huge and I remember it being too long to fit in my parent's upstate garage!

I'm thinking that .030" would add maybe 30ci(?), pretty sure you could feel that!

BTW, I towed a VW bus with my 455 Cutlass 1/2 mile from the GW bridge to Boston. I couldn't even feel the VW behind me at speed. ;)
