Irsey may or may not be a chump, I don't know enough about the Cols to have an opinion.
But there isn't really a shadow of a doubt that what Mcdaniels did was a low and classless act, its absolutely nothing to do with the Indy press.
Even if he didn't sign it was public knowledge that he had accepted the job, just like Shermer had accepted the Giants job and Patricia the Lions.
I would challenge you to find me anyone outside of the Patriots bubble that disagrees.

Fun fact

McDaniels' agent dumped him.

I don't really care about any of this, but he is a weasel. Leaving the assistants hung out to dry is a good indication.

Okay, If I say "Tom Brady is a bimbo." Will that mean I'm outside the Patriots' bubble?

(It's the dumbest mean thing I can think of on short notice.)

Dan posted that while I was typing. That is really funny, his agent. You know his annual cut of that contract can buy most of our houses free and clear. Really lets the air out of my cajoling.

Just to be clear I am not a Patriots or Tom Brady hater. but the facts in this case speak for themselves.
And yeah what Dan said, worse off then the Colts are those assists that might have passed on other jobs and might now have no job at all.

Yeah, nobody is in the business like an agent and his action says it all. I misread the gravity.

For all we know...

...McDaniels may have selected some excellent assistants that will benefit the Colts in the long run. Actually, I'll bet that's the case.

Except those assistants, most, if not all, have subsequently stepped away from the colts.
