It is Elaine's main car, I drive a stick car.
When you pop the throttle on the 2.4 the CVT ratio overdrives and the 2.4 vtec has enough torque to launch it. Great for lane jump, blasts to the left lane, passing etc.
The 1.5 turbo just doesn't do that unless you are reving it up into higher rmps. Like flooring it basically, at least what I found to be the case.
Maybe that would work well for a 2400 lb small car, but it seems wonky with the weight of the CRV to me.
I think the 1.5 is also inter cooled, so the mix has a longer trip to the front cooler and back to the engine perhaps, lag?
