Vuelta Stage 15 [spoiler]

The Yates kids are a force for sure. But when Lopez came outta of the peloton on his attack Yate's lead evaporated.
I thought Alberto was going to stay with Lopez, and he did for a huge portion of the hill.

The pass, well I thought Lopez would just go by Yates, but Lopez let up a touch. And Yates damaged himself irreparably getting in his steam.

But to watch Lopez attack him with one those seated explosions after gaping to him, was a thing of beauty.
It wasn't long before Yates utterly exploded himself, not in Lopez style of course. And back to paragraph one, Lopez exploded Alberto before he got to Yates. ;)

Thanks Lopez for making some real drama for the hilly ones... ;)

I'm not paying attention. Do you think Froome is a lock?

With a week left, 4 more mountain, tomorrow a TT after today's rest day, and flat last stage. TT is 42km flat away from coast.

If Astana can damage Sky on those 4 days... Lopez sitting 2:51 behind Froome right now. 0.40 behind a podium spot. It would be an upset I could enjoy, being a little Sky/Froomed out this year. ;) I honestly think Nibali is the only one Lopez will leave standing if he ends up 3rd at a minumum. Unless he destructs him on the way to pushing Froome down the podium maybe...

So, does Froome cement more time in the TT before 4 days of hilly stages? This should be interesting I am sure.

Predicting Lopez/Froome/Nibali. ;)

I would say that barring a really bad crash, Lopez has about as much of a chance of beating Froome as I do....

Only reason Froome didn't chase him on Sunday was because he doesn't view him a s a threat.

And Aru is going to EAU for next year, so Lopez should get the team nod...

----
Seems AC rode himself into 5th for the stage and the GC simultaneously.

If contandor didn't have that one bad day in the first week he would be a real concern for Froome, as it is I think the only person that slightly worries Froome is Nibbales, and even he is at 2 minutes now...

Like those stories about Anquetil, can drop no one, no one can drop him, then the TT.
