There is indeed bike polo in Portland. When I was out in Portland last year, visiting my stepson, CJ came through on a visit and immediately hooked up with the local bike polo scene.

2:00 pm - 8:00 pm Sundays Alberta Park about 15 miles from me. Know what I am doing next Sunday. ;)
It occurs to me SS CX bike on dirt where divots can occur [as it should be] would also be cool! ;)

Guys riding around waving long sticks - I think disc wheels sound like a great idea!

Or use those old Rev-X wheels.... Razors mounted on the edges to slice and dice you opponents mallot... among other things...
