Yet another repurpose for the 2000 Strong Road bike.

No more Single Speed for the old Strong. Post ride SS residual reporting [read: pain] for the leg I broke no longer tolerable. And the 2 speed wheel does not work with the vertical dropouts.

2x10 28/40 XT cranks, thumb shifters [indexed 10s], 11-30 cassette [will take a 32, maybe a 34]. Titech H bars. [Jones Bikes H clone]

Don't know what to call it's purpose, just bike I guess. ;) Recovery bike? Hill trekker with 22 Gear Inches with a 34 on the rear...

Not really suited for this terrain, but I wanted to trek a little. Just walked it over the Basalt gardens out to the water. Sandy hardpack trail with some small rock gardens was navigable with 28s.

The handlebars look like Portland hipster.

Lots of hand positions. Dug out some Suntour XP Pro brake levers I forgot I had... NOS, and that's some old school parts!

Hipster, eh?
