Nice
Look pretty similar to the Dromartis I got a few weeks ago, which I consider the best shoes I have:

They also make a race model which is Look compatible, but you can buy cleats for cage pedals and toeclips.
I've got assorted vintage shoes, my favorites being white Maressis. I probably have my original Dettos somewhere, with the nail on cleats.
Enjoy!

Looks very nice but too expensive to get all scuffed up, which if I had them, would inevitably happen...

Scuff - oh no!
Good grief Sandiway, that's like saying you won't use a fine baseball glove because it might get marked up. The leather is very good and doesn't get marked easily, and if it does a little wax or oil brings it right back. They are superbly functional and are wasted if not used. Anyway, good leather just looks better with use, like my Berthoud saddle. But don't believe me, check Jan Heine on the subject:

I'm using mine for D2R2 because I like them better than my Sidi Dominators (which I have no complaints about).
These shoes are also great for walking, and I wear them around the office as well. They are a commuting shoe I never have to take off. A lady I know who is not a cyclist and has a background in high end retail complimented me on them just because she thought they were nice shoes, particularly mentioning the leather.
The Dromarti slogan is "Life with Passion" which may sound corny, but rings true to me - why else would you make a shoe like this?
I may (or may not) get a pair of the race shoes as well - the black with red stitching would look great with my Sachs :)
And another way of looking at the scuffing issue - at my age, what would I be saving them for? :)

This is for the Rapha set of riders. To me, cycling is sweaty, messy, dirty, chainring tattoos and all. I'm not their target demographic I guess.
(Having said all that, my wife bought an Assos jersey at the Wheelworks Sale recently, and I have to admit it looks overpriced good. Fashion...)

LOL, Elaine'$ 'clothe$' budgeting when I got her the Madone was a cost I neglected to 'factor' in originally. ;) And matching blue saddle, tires and tape etc etc... I won't go into the saddling, it is Friday and supposed to be a happy day!
