What is the big deal, isn't there an entire new cottage bike industry now? Endurance/gravel bikes, just for riding on moon surfaces.

Nov to March is the windy season here, and 35 is not the worst it gets by any means. But common inland where a lot of riding goes on to be sure.
They recorded 80 MPH at the Vista House this past 'windy season'. The Vista House in Corbett is the windiest place in the Pacific Northwest apparently.

The Atlantic and Gulf coasts often record >100 mph winds during what they call "Hurricane Season". :)

Is that during a hurricane or storm/front? Or just on a day like any other except the gale?
Being from the east coast it seems during as I recall... TN, in the middle of the US got pretty severe winds as squalls passed, also during storms.
