Maybe if I rode a city bike I might consider a seatylock. Not something I need or want.

Hmmmm

I would want this ugly, cumbersome thing instead of carrying a cable lock why?

Dunno, dunno...

BUT.. why don't they just make a folding lock without all that crappy seat shit. Two of my fav saddles are under 200 grams.

no thanks

Looks like the saddle is as much a pain-in-the-ass as the lock.

@Sparky

ABUS makes folding locks like that. I think the idea here is "hey, you don't have to remember to take a lock with you." But that's not a good reason to use a saddle that doesn't fit.

Another investment opportunity for the possibly not-so-discerning cyclist, but I'd rather ride on that saddle than get my bike stolen (assuming the security level is somewhat good).

LOL, watching the video, shows the dog doing it's business @ :42

Better option - Yerka project

I think http://www.nadiemelaroba.cl/ is a more clever design, having the lock built into the bicycle, and a much better choice among the two.
