A few out of the driveway ride digi MTN pics.

Last Friday was the clearest day since I have been here. for the pic I am standing 24-5 miles S-S/E of PDX.

Mt Rainier is usually just visible on normal/usual summer clear days if at all. But Fri I came over a rise 3 miles from my house on the return and blam. It is about 130 miles to Rainier from the phone/camera FYI. Helens and Adams are a bit more than 1/2 that distance IIRC.

Zoomed shot is Helens left, Rainier just right. Adams over to the east [shooting north]. My phone camera has very limited focal length. In person the view was pin point clear, peak to sky. I love the payoff of that view on my local hilly loop. Which I finally got my ass out on starting last week. I am a lot faster on flat stuff, a lot. ;)

On a shittier note: Elaine fell off the Madone the other day on the paved path. No idea how she managed it, said she hit a little rock. She got some road rash, medium variety, poor thing.

But this other gal stops as I pick up the bike and ask's Elaine if she is OK. She is bleeding on her knee, not bad, but it is red. The gal looks at her Madone, and sez "nice bike!". I told Elaine, that's Portland for ya! ;)
