Bandwidth via Cell Schmether

Anyone else getting similar ?

Surprising and nice since the tower closest to my house went LTE.

Dunno.

AT&T only recently allowed me to tether, and also we jumped the monthly plan to 10GB, so I've only used that a couple of times so far (places where I couldn't get a signal, or something else went wrong) and I've got to say that I was pleased with the results. Whatever the speed, it's certainly fast enough...!

As a side note, my notebook (Thinkpad X120e) has an internal slot for a cellular connection. It's more than a little tempting at times to try to dig one up and plug it in...it wouldn't cost that much more a month for an additional device.

That new plan gives us 4GB more for 45 less dollars the way it worked out. Surprised they let that happen.

Only other choice for inet here is 1.5 DSL that never touches 1.5 for 75.00 mo. So the schmethering is our only connection for the PC from the house...

My LTE connection on my phone gets that high and at times higher.

I don't tether, I don't want verizon to spot my unlimited cell data and as so as I tether my phone it will rehack my contract. I may jailbreak it to sneak the tethering though.

I would have not gone to the smart phones without the teathering, and made it clear. I think that is about the highest so far...
