Old Campy stuff question

I am thinking of putting the Record Ti-Carbon 8 speed Ergos on my Paramount. The rear DR that came with on the bike I pulled them off is Mirage and beat up. The hubs are non modern splined. So my question is what rear DR can I use? I saw a commensurate condition 8 speed Chorus rear DR, but not sure if it would fit..

Any 8-speed should work, or "old" 9-speed (pre about 1999). When they came out with 10-speed they changed the cable pull ratio, and a little later applied that new geometry to "new" 9-speed, but all the 8-speed shifters worked with all the 8-speed derailleurs, if I'm not mistaken. So the Chorus should work.

You do need to put a cassette with Campy 8-speed spacing on it.
