Fairwheel Bikes Open House
Friday afternoon, I was at the Fairwheel Bikes Open House here in Tucson. They had beer, food and high-end custom bikes. (It's probably one of the highest-end bike shops in the world.)
I posted some pictures to my Facebook page.

I follow their Pinterest board (it is not just for the ladies). They post some fantastic bikes there. Wow.

That looks like...
...a Sweet Wings crank in the frame on the wall. I still have two...well...one-and-a-half of them.
I'm envious, as that's one shop I'd really like to visit. They seem to be some of the most innovative people in the business and the ultimate "weight weenies".
After viewing the pics, I have a couple of answers for you:
Yes, that's a Sweet Wings crank.
THM-Carbones names their bike parts after bones, so yes, the "Fibula" brake is theirs, along with the "Clavicula" crank and the "Scapula" fork. I would expect them to eventually make a "Ribula" bottle cage and if they ever make a seatpost, I imagine they would call it the "Coccyx". ;-0

I hadn't noticed that until you pointed it out!
I rarely get the chance to handle or even see that level of componentry. But I did pick up their Fibula brake. It feels so light it seems like it's made out of paper.

This stuff is way outta my league.
I politely asked the weights of some of the bikes but never the price. Ask they say: if you have to ask,...
Someone mentioned it takes 1 or 2 years to put those bikes together, from design to final product. Sourcing the parts, getting the frame built - of course, if it was a Richards Sachs, you'd be waiting a decade...

chicken or the egg
Nice! Thanks!
Interesting time trial bike. And made from steel, no less. I wonder how it rides. With a one of a kind bike having a precise custom fit, its equally interesting how you would get someone to commit a purchase before the bike is built.

The Old school-style Italian-made Marresi cycling shoes and a matching leather helmet would be cool to ride my with paramount...

I got the feeling a lot of this stuff is done for sheer pleasure; the aesthetics, artistry etc. I commented that the red steel bike reminded me of a Slingshot. Back came the reply, oh it's way nicer...
I'm sure they all ride fine but it wouldn't be your everyday race or training bike...

Red one: no seat stays and no downtube.
I can't even imagine putting any watts into that frame.
