DQ Query

If someone is disqualified for a doping infraction and stripped of a title, what happens to any stage wins they may have earned during the course of the race?

I assume the stage wins are lost also.

Didn't that happen in the TDF some years ago - Vino won a TT stage and then failed a blood doping test later in the tour (the entire Astana team was withdrawn), so the stage is now shown as having been won by Evans, who was second fastest on the day.

I had assumed the same, but wondered about the massive rewriting involved, like those famous Soviet-era photos where people were retouched and removed.

I don't know about these days--most of you folks have gone beyond skeptical to cynical--but I hope in the past, they wrote the record book in pencil.
