TDF Wrapup, no same-day spoiler
Great edition,
the cross-wind stage,
mega-climbing,
good TT mix - all three,
double jersey winner,
the race for second place,
better than '89?
USA has a future,
heck, English speakers have quite a future!
Night time on the Champs-Elysées?
The only thing missing to me were sprint finishes, but should it start on a Friday and run until Tuesday?!? ;-) ;-) ;-)

You forgot to add Jan Baklants holding off the field by 1 second for like 5K
Cannondale doing a 100k leadout on the 3rd day in Corsica.
As for sprints, hmm this was perhaps the best sprinting crop in the last 10 years.

Huh? Cav won two, Greipel won one, Kittel won four and Sagan won one. That's 8 of 21 or nearly 40% of the stages. How many sprint finishes do you think there should be?

Sprint stages are boring except for the last 10 minutes. I would like to see early hard hills with the breaks getting more of a chance.
The races that finish in Gap are always the best in my book.

Early Hills
This TdF certainly met your needs. The first stage was very flat but the second and third stages on Corsica were very hilly.

Elaine and I enjoyed the closing ceremony, after watching the Cav situation unfold.
Loved that the rotary was part of the circuit and the arch got way more pixel time than previous tours as a result. Used to cringe at the turn short of the arch those last few laps, especially the last one. ;)

I wonder how Cav would have done if he didn't hit that pothole. Having your rear wheel out of contact with the ground can't be good for your sprint . . .

interesting course, but Froome's utter dominance ruined it for me. No one could even challenge, Quintana maybe next year, but not this. At least Lance always had a foil.

Cav fussed about his bike early in the tour. Bets are he will be on another frame next year.
Felt got some deserved sprinter respect this year too.
Was there a frame maker without a stage win this year?

Was at the Tour for stages 4 Nice TTT, 5 Cagnes-sur Mer to Marseille, 6 Aix-en-Provence. Great route this year, something for everyone. Quintana was a revelation (although he did win the l'Avenir a while back).
