TDF, Phil no spoiler
I wonder if Phil is on temporal lobe PEDs, he seems to not be flubbing thus far. ;)

Yep we'll done. I can only imagine Jens coaching him the whole time over the radio.

Bully!
I think he may be the only one more surprised than I that the Gods looked down upon him at the finish line and smiled. Nice.

I've been mostly watching Eurosport but I've seen other comments that Phil doesn't seem so clueless this year?
Interestingly the one time I caught a feed of Phil for a few minutes he somehow managed to bring Cavendish into his commentary when he really had almost nothing to do with what was on screen. I think it was stage Trentin won. Has he replaced his Lance bromance with Cavendish?

Maybe a decision was made that Paul not correct him.
I have noticed a few bobbles, but without the correction and subsequent reverberations to those corrections from Phil, it escapes the usual notice?

Cavendish and Trentin are on the same team so that was the connection.

Yeah, I know they're on the same team but why was Phil shoe-horning Cavendish into the equation as Trentin was winning the stage?
It just reminded of the Lance era, when no matter what was happening Phil always somehow made it about Lance.

Hah
Yeah right,
Here comes Cav, he has a commanding lead and no one can beat his second dig in a sprint.
Oh, some guy in white just won again.
He has a man crush on Cav like he did for LA.
