A strange thing to see on your morning bike ride
This hot air balloon was floating in the skies over Lake Burley Griffin in the centre of Canberra when we were out riding this morning. Specially commissioned for the centenary of the city, apparently. My first thought on seeing it was that whoever designed it has a fish and tit fetish...

Weird looking indeed. Any idea what the symbolism was meant to be?

A hot air baloon? ;-)
Am I the only one not surprised by it? I've been to a couple of hot air baloon festivals. There're a lot of strange looking shapes and forms I've seen. Not all of them resembles any real world examples. I mean, what's a fish doing in the sky in the first place?
If I must venture a guess, I'd say it's supporsed to be a turtle but with its butt replaced by a fish head.

Obviously it's a
Buck-Brown-Granny-
Turtle-turkey.
Obviously an illustration I don't want to display.
It's hard to believe someone who could afford something like that would buy something like that.
