Cool Repaint Deal
I mentioned in another thread that my Christmas present to myself is getting my Crosshairs repainted. Well, word comes back from Waterford that it's "a little more pitted" than they like to see and has some other issues (not surprising since I rode it through 11 winters or so). So they offer a "crash replacement" price on a new frame (in the color I want), which along with repainting my 531 fork (which I want to keep) totals about $200 more than the paint job. I think I can live with that (I have an eclectic set of components for D2R2 type rides so there's no point in getting a complete bike).
I like those guys.

Those vanilla shades are a big retro draw. Looks like a great match for the bike's traditional tubing dimensions imo.
I don't have any bikes with that shade, but at least I've got a Paramount, which I've decided to restore keeping the original "radiant green" paint from 1959:

Nice
That Paramount is beautiful. Post pics when it is restored. Panels are a favorite of mine.
I have 2 bikes I should have restored - a '57 Bianchi and an '83 Fat Chance. Just gotta get to them.
