Traitor Cycles Lugged Road frameset, interesting

Got Elaine the CX Ruben fame used, other thread. The Exile Road frame/fork caught my eye on the Traitor site.

"heart of the Exile is a very unique Long Shen Lug set"

That caught my eye, and the Geom looks good IMO as well.

Exile Frame with Lugged Fork $699.00 USD
Claims to be made in the far east FWIW. I wonder if this means Japan considering the lugs used...

And you can any color, as long as it is yellow or white. ;) [Antique White, Curry Dragon Yellow]

Must be made in Taiwan or China, Long Shen is a Taiwanese company.

At that price, it's much more likely to come from a Taiwanese company such as Maxway. If you look at their web site, they offer quite a number of lugged steel road frames: http://www.maxway.com.tw/

They're the actual manufacturer for Surly, Jamis, Dawes, etc, and the 650b Bleriot lugged frame that I have was also made by them.

Local big shop has lugged Pinarello and Colnago singlespeed bikes (from Taiwan/China) with prominent (almost bulky) chromed lugs.
Pricing is around a grand, parts are all generic looking.

Rivendell I believe has long sourced their lugs from Long Shen, perhaps one of the best of the remaining lug makers.
