New Thread: Hardy's UP!!

Great news, we need to encourage him. He is already slacking with miniscule 30 minute workouts out of the gate, What is that all about?

That would be cool and a motivator

Although Sparky, I have no idea how to set that up, the more the merrier anyone else with a computrainer? a virtual TTF group ride!

Toughest thing so far is handling riding with an arm in the sling, the free arm gets weary then sitting up so does the butt, being off the bike for 5 weeks have to try to get everything back in shape

I know, remember all too well, but each day it will improve... The broke leg for me was worse, there was no muscle tone what so ever out of that starting gate...

Riding one-handed?

Man, you REALLY don't want to fall off with the arm still/shoulder on the mend in a sling.

I was riding 12 years ago with a loose shoulder joint that would painfully pop out of alignment with even moderate force applied. I would fall foreward whenever I hit a bump as I couldn't support weight on it. Very sketchy riding like that!

Don't ask me how I initially pulled the joint apart while violently pulling my chain out from between the freewheel and spokes.

Take it easy on the bike.

No worries dddd

Having ridden a 2 man tt with Rick, I can confidently affirm that he is an extremely smooth rider who can definitely ride a Computrainer one handed without falling off. Unless there is a blueberry pie in the room, in which case he might get distracted.

Seeing as to what has happened to my stack of thick blueberry pancakes after today's ride, I can relate.

Oh, and I mis-read that Rick was actually out riding one-handed, doh!

Sounds like good news on all fronts.

I've been killing off many, many apple pies of late, and never felt better.
This is not a recommendation however.
I've been getting these 27oz Mrs. Smith's pies for 1.99 for a couple of months now.
A serving for me is typically about a third of a pie, eaten rapidly.
