Very nice. But where is the Rivendell leather mudflap?

Mud flappa yousself!
Seriously...it's going to have Planet Bike "Cascadia Road" rubber mudflaps. They fit the SKS fenders perfectly and--here's something cool. I can also fit one of those on the tip of the front fender for additional spray protection. It makes the bike look like a duck-billed platypus (
) but so what...!

Forza!
That's great. Like the Saab I used to drive, definitely "quirky" (dt shifters, double racks, bell, etc.). With those 2 racks you're loaded for bear.
I'm hopeful that next year I'll be riding a nice new Sachs Machine (and I'll at least get my Crosshairs repainted).

Two things SPARK-ling in this thread. ;-)
Looking good Andy - nice bar tape...looks like leather to my eye!
I went with Gatorgrip tape earlier this year and it is already wearing out.

@MAG7
Nope, Serfas synthetic cork. I wanted something dark-brownish, and this came pretty close. It's comfortable!

@Dan
Dan, did you say...Sachs Machine?

The front rack is pretty lightweight; just there for a handlebar bag lower support and a place to put my headlight. The rear rack will do most of any heavy lifting that needs to be done. Some of the other stuff is pseudo-french, pseudo-pseudo whatever. The bell has already been useful. I put it on the stem after I saw a VO poster with a bike set up that way. The nicest thing about it is that it keeps the bar tops clear...no computer, no bell, no light, no nothing.

JB is one of my alltime favorites. That performace is pretty tame though compared to the 3 times I saw the James Brown Show in the late '60s. Ain't seen nothing like it, before or since.

@Andy
Further to the last topic, I have some advice regarding your issues getting on and off the bike:
