GCN+ cancelled
Not sure if anyone else here uses this app/service but I really enjoyed it. All the racing coverage you could ever want, lots of extra content around road cycling, even a smallish community space to share bike pics, stories, etc.
Of course the corporate [profanity-laden description redacted] have decided to 'consolidate their streaming offerings' and ruin a great option for those who love everything about today cycling. Basically their obscene profits aren't obscene enough. I really hate corporate [more profane adjective-noun combinations redacted].

It must be tough to make it with cycling as the ptimary sport. NBC Sports shut down, GCN+, and that tv channel that I cant remeber the name of threw in the towel. Seems somebody could just buy the eurosport feed. I'd watch with a foreign language.

Eurosport subscription is fairly locked down to non-euro customers, as I understand it. Going to try, of course, but I'm sure nothing will be as good as GCN.
The best part of GCN+ was no ads at all. I straight out refuse to watch anything with ads in it anymore. I have loads of software, extensions, etc on my phone/computer to block ads. I even run my own DNS server at home to specifically block domains known to serve ads.

To add a regex blacklist entry, I open the Pihole web admin console in a browser, go to domains, click on the "Regex filter" tab at the top, enter the regex expression, and click on "Add to blacklist".

Duh, didn't see the tab... Thanks
It is nuts how many blocks occurred in about 6 hours since I set up the server. I am suprised I have waited this long.
But honestly, it was reading about ATSC 3 recently that got my goat. I guess it spilled over..
That was fun, not done that stuff for years...
ISO image to USB Boot install OS, and terminal window command line stuff like old AIX mounting of new devices, etc etc.
The total blocked count keep rising, up to +16% in less 10 hours...
30 hours in @ 53.1% blocked...

Late to reply, but Nick covered it. I run a pihole dns server on a raspberry pi. WOrks brilliantly.
One note is that pihole can't block things like FB or reddit sponsored posts because they are served from the FB and reddit domains. Hate that...

Well, to get continued cycling coverage I came to an arrangement with my brother in Switzerland - he signed me up to Eurosport there (the signup needs a Swiss credit card for payment) and provided the login details. I run the Eurosport app on my phone. and with a VPN set to Switzerland and split tunneling enabled I can access all the Eurosport coverage and cast it to my TV. And though it's Swiss coverage, the app allows me to change the language to English, and I get English commentary for most of what they broadcast.
p.s. The subscription cost is €7/month.
