But definitely SUX ;)
Was hoping we'd [as in you] get it under the tree. ;)

At this point I have nothing but patience. The snow has flown and I won't be riding it for at least 4 months. So let him heal. :)

BTW, Carl posted this in his vendor thread on Paceline.
Tejay Van G taking delivery of his Pursuit. Mapei Inspired custom paint.
TJ hails from Bozeman, Carl/Strong sponsored him in his Wee CAT daze. ;) And Carl has said he raced with TJs dad in the early days too. Cool history.

Replacement parts are in, delivery next week. Asked Carl to send some riding weather along with it. I'm done with winter already.

I hear you. We got a edge of glory day yesterday, I was out for 3 hours.
Last 30 minutes the sun went behind clouds as angle [winter&late day etc], and the 55^ felt like 45^ again.
Of course it came back out as I got to the van..
Not complaining, but no shell day I was grateful for, I was wishing for a better taper on the cool down last 20 minutes. ;O ;)
1st non winter glove day of the year, broke out the leather full finger gloves...
Gleaming today thinking about it, and sleeping like the dead last night big plus on top. ;)
I do remember when 3 hours out was 50-70 miles, not 30... Gotta stop jawing with other old farts out on bikes...
Road along side jawing with an 83 year old retired fireman and later a guy my age I could not be on the rivet to ride along, false flag feeling I am sure.
;)
So ending the day feeling fast, as much as an illusion that it might be was kinda nice too. Although in my head since the cardio Dr kicked me back to the GP last Thurs I am riding different already.

I can split that post to a new thread Rob, if you don't want my ride blog in your NB thread, just say.
BTW, curious as to the up charge for the paint like those usually are??? ;)
Please don't say "If you gotta ask".

I think it was around $1k for the paint and design. Seatpost and stem were $150ea.
But, you know, if you gotta ask....

The more I see it the more I like it, FWIW. And I liked it plenty the first shots. ;)
I got a quote to do a Trek Kaleidoscope 1st Light on my Domane Classics from Dark Matter. $900.00 seemed pretty fair to me. I decided to get the RSL/SLR a size smaller instead in Mads Pedersen green.
I was told the Team Stampede Tomii paint done in 2013 would cost 1400.00 to duplicate in 2021-22. I got frame and ENVE fork for 875.00. Seems not too bad a deal.
Nuts, I paid 975.00 for my first Strong frame with a 3 color custom powder coat...

Original delivery was early Nov but painter broke his foot so that added 3mo while he was down, also two weeks for parts replacement. I think i ordered June/Julyish

I guess if you got it 3 month ago it would not have changed too much being winter and all??

Exactly. I still got it well before I'm going to ride it outside. Probably worked out better for me as I didn't spend all winter looking at it and touching wishing I could ride it.

Ugh....so the EPS interface is being replaced. Carl had to replace it before he shipped it and now my LBS is getting one in to replace that one. WTF
