How to serialize bike?

My custon Carver ti has no serial number that I can find. Looking for ways to make it identifiable in case of theft. I've heard of putting my SS number on a pice of paper inside the seat tube. Are there better ideas?

Are cops going to look inside for a SN?, I would not think so. And if it in etched/engraved on the BB, thief is going to grind off or paint over it anyway.

Micro chip epoxied inside the BB? ;)

If you have to original receipt, probably do well on INS if it got stolen ironically.

I've heard of "tiles" that help locate things. Could that work?how do they work? I'll google that for me.

A tile weighs 31 grams so I can't do that. Seriously, it has a battery life of 1 year only.
