Race Fans: Milan San Remo (no spoiler)

This is the first replay of the finale, ~300m. I thought the long telephoto work was too good to ignore so I'm putting it first.

The last kilo, shot with more familiar camera work, and heli shots. For those of us on a time budget, very tense.

The clip "Milan Sanremo last 10KM" from the beginning. Approved by the tourist board of Sanremo. Includes all of the Poggio.

I rode the last 40K or so on my smart trainer last week and I can't believe how fast they climbed the Poggio after 280K of racing.

Its pretty neat to know what the road looks like and what the climb feels like while watching it on the video.

I love Sagan's panache. A shame that tactically it didn't work out for him, but the gap was such that he couldn't sit up to force a pull by the others. Cost him the race, but I agree with the commentators that he's Merckx-like.

Sagen and Contandor are throwbacks, see contadors ride on the last day of Paris Nice last week.
Pretty bummed that this is likely his last year.

I drove up the Poggio by car 2 years ago, while in area w friends ' just to get a feel of it. I agree - they were motoring up that climb incredibly fast!

Thanks for the heads-up, Kerry. I'll try to maintain it if they break, just let me know.

This clip is a little nicer, more group before, more mob after.

The telephoto segment

Ultimo Kilometro

The whole clip

Man, Sagan at the end looked like he totally emptied his tank and almost collapsed off his bike!

Excellent

Great finish. Love the way Sagan congratulated the winner right after the finish. Seems like a great guy.
