It was breath taking to watch and I am sure to climb. It was also VERY narrow. I felt the road was basically a one lane paved trail and it was rutted up a bit in places from what I could see on the coverage.

montvernier is stunning
so much packed into only 3km!!! doing that climb is on my bucket list now...

Agreed. Painful up, and yikes - shorts soiling going down. Leave behind the TP and matches on the tour bus (RE: see other thread)

That second image...
... is rotated by ~30 degrees, making the slope look ridiculously steep. If you adjust it in a image editing program, it looks much more reasonable and more fun.
