Brad Wiggins' hour attempt, June 7

Brad Wiggins might just set an hour record with some staying power. At the open workout this week he peeled of consistent 16.2 second laps. That translates to a 55.55K pace for the hour.

The only event time I can find is "on the evening of June 7." YouTube streaming FWIW.

Sunday at the Lee Valley VeloPark in London, UK.

GMT

I'm thinking I'll start to pay attention just after noon EDT, looking for the start. I can't imagine being a spectator will take as much focus as a baseball game.

Well done, Sir Bradley. Just shy of 55 km: 54.526 (33.9 miles). Pushing 58/14 gear, the cadence was about 104 rpm.
