220 outlet in garage

That power line will be perfect for an electric car charger. I'm thinking my next car will probably use one.

Well whatever I might use it for, I think I'll keep it and flip it around to pop out into the garage.

I now have friends telling me I need to keep the hole in the wall and just pop a fishtank in it...

Keep the 220 circuit for sure. As for heating, now's the season to look into it. There are parabolic heaters too, if you don't want a fan. The 220 would be good for baseboard heat, but with a garage door and without insulation baseboard would end up being a waste. Referencing 220 from above, it will heat faster, and charge a car faster. Have you considered relocating the washer and dryer?

As for the aquarium, knock out a few more feet, go large or don't go at all, salt water maybe. But first ask the missus.

Need to track the wiring back to the panel to be sure, but 99% sure it is a 20amp.

No desire or room to relocate the washer/dryer into the garage and no way to really reconfigure the space by the back door into a mudroom/laundry room so those units will remain in the basement.

that is way too small wire and amps for a 220 dryer in case you are not aware. That could power a 4k electric heater though. Not sure what the electric car charger requires. I believe more than that also...
