When I linked to the VID, my first thought upon seeing your face with a harp was; Rob=Blind Melon Chitlin??

I knew you meant harp when I read the message. Not too shabby BTW.

BTW, I got some old small tube amps with raspy alnico speaker that for blues harp are nice and nasty.

Make sure next time you visit you bring a harp and a Shure Green Bullet. ;)

Now that's a great idea, I'd love to develop some harp chops. Combining guitar, harp and cycling content, this used to be my favorite song to psych up while driving to races or time trials:

Ahh, Jr Wells.

You just made me dig up this pic of the same amp Jr. Wells used for harp. I had it for a long while and sold off as part of my move out here along with a few other old Fender tube amps. [tears roll down face]

A harp player bought it, the guy came to my house to try it, and that MF was one unreal harp player. Nashville, go figure. ;)

I forget what year, Late 40s Masco 17-N IIRC. Came out of a church when they upgraded the PA after 65 years. ;) Note the Brother label maker labels that say Choir and Pulpit. ;)
I modded the inputs/outputs for 1/4".

Brining my harps everywhere now. And no Green Bullet...but I've got an AT2020USB PLUS that is freaking phenomenal and very portable. 3.5mm monitor jack in the mic that also serves as computer output...so I can listen to a base track at the same time I'm monitoring my own sound out of the same cans and recording a new track on the comp. Technology, man.

And that Jr Wells vid was off the hook...

Just 3 so far. A,C,G. No sense getting more until I can actually play instead of following along with some tabs.

I have a couple drummer friends and am always hearing about their woes packing and unpacking their kit. I like being able to carry my entire kit in my pocket.

Until you get out, an amp small enough for your pocket is challenging. ;) [but not out of the question actually]

I have a 60s record player cab with an old webcor tube head built in and a 10" speaker that is like a little suite case. With a house PA they could park a mic in front of it for blues grind if that is what floats you boat. I am a bit old school when it comes to blues tone in that what was good enough for everything recorded for 50 years is best for now. ;)

Unfortunately for harp beyond time effects, tone changing effects are not as useful as they are with a guitar plugged into them I don't think. ;)
