I've ridden up the Rockpile 12x, but I think I'd pass on heading up on a Citibike. Wonder what the low gear is.

I'd kind of like to ride it again next year, but it's a week before D2R2 and don't think that's within my aged recovery window.

D2R2 priority

Yeah, priority to D2R2. I'm planning a Quixotic assault on the 180k this year, which is considerably more difficult than the Rockpile IMHO (apples and oranges admittedly). Plus I really like the D2R2 event, while I love the MW ride but not the event. I see I could ride Newton's Revenge in July (the other opportunity to ride up the Auto Road). My interest in riding it again is mostly that I'm now considerably lighter than on any of my other rides, so that could make it a bit different.
