Got knocked off my Paramount today, at a stop.

Domino effect, just two domino. So more than anything I broke his fall.

Gained a few brake level and bar con scratches, edge of seat and rear quick release, pedal too.

Shit happens, his mint Tommasini appeared unscathed. His ego OTOH... I think he had a cleat rotate/get loose. Unfortunately on the side I was on at the stop.

I admire that he said to give him a bill. I said just get me a coffee, shit happens. Lost a sock to a tear too. If that is the worst that happens to me this season this will be good. ;) Hoping....

Amazing how many different things get touched in a low speed topple.

Stuff happens indeed

Glad it came out OK, and good attitude on your part.

I took a fall this weekend when I overcooked a wet corner. Not on the bike though. Sat am I was doing my commuting/errands in the rain, got off the bike and walked into the post office, pivoted into a sharp right turn to my box, and went flying a$$ over teakettle, landing with a thud on my side. Didn't really hurt anything, just scraped up my wrist and elbow is a bit stiff. Note to self: Next time walking on a slick floor with wet cleats, cool it on the turns. Fortunately I was screened from the main lobby, or it would have been a laff riot.

attitude is key

Two rules of life, only one you can control:

1. Sh_t happens;
2. Don't be a dick.

Sparky, you did the right thing.

Found an odd same sock in the clothes basket awaiting to be re-paired to replace the torn one. ;)

Great attitude. I'm sure the other guy was surprised and happy.

It is amazing what a slow fall will do. I but a big scuff and 2" cut in a new saddle when I slipped getting off and lifting my leg over.

I guess it is more about the ride than the bike for me anymore. It make me think about the possibility of really doing the Paramount up, and not doing it... ;)

Then t would be about the bike...
