Strava, weird ?

I do separate segments for my outbound and returns. Especially if there is a rest of more than a few minutes.

Pretty fast on the return today, so I stopped the return leg 6.8 miles short of the end of the ride back to my car. I did restart it for that third leg when I got to the spot which I get caught at like 6 long wait crossings so I could see the average for the return minus these stops.

The 3rd leg is on my phone in Strava but not on the website, just the 1st two legs, Weird. Not to mention the tail wind I did not expect on that last 6.8 miles to the car, over 18MPH average even with the crossings. And this was a cool down, or supposed to be...

Anyone else have Strava do anything similar?

EDIT:But shows in 'this weeks total'

Not sure, but I've had many problems with the Strava app losing rides due to shutting off (on two phones).

Incidentally, it might be better to pause Strava rather than record separate legs. That way your ride takes up less space on the feed (Dashboard), both yours and your followers.

I have had it run for 160 kilometer rides and never had an issue. I have even run it and nike+ at the same time when running and had no issue. I make sure I keep imy phone with a clear view of the sky in my jersey or on my arm. No issue.

I had it dump one ride this year and maybe two last year. I think it was operator error on all accounts.

iPhone 4 and 5s.

This is on Android. In fact, I was motivated to pick up my first Garmin specifically because the Strava app was so flaky.

It shows the 3rd leg on the phone/app and if I go to my user on the site. The 3rd leg is in there on the dashboard page in the totals only added in.

Maybe a limit so you are not adding more than 2 rides on the DB page for a given day...

Does it auto pause after a certain time of non movement ?
