Or Wahoo, or ...

Pretty much any Iphone fitness app these days will read a Bluetooth HR, and the cycling specific ones will read speed/cadence sensors.

The HR straps are all over ebay for cheap.

The advantage is no need for an Ant+ dongle for the older sensors.

Yep Strava. It gives me all the data a Garmin does for a fraction of the cost. Considering of course I already have an iPhone that supports the HRM.

If I can find a quality, waterproof, low profile mount for my stem then I would in. In the meantime I will use a cheap walmart bike computer for realtime info and use Strava for the anilitical data.

Used it on a short run yesterday, flawless performance.

Erik-I've been using the wahoo mount for a while, with the case. Need the ant device then, don't now. It's cheap in the non ant form. But the phone is still huge on the stem, I ended up buying a RFLKT. Still about half the cost of Garmin.

Sally...13.63 lb Cervelo R5.

Me...16.95 lb Cervelo S5.

Both bikes are built up with mtb cogs/derailleurs and SRM systems (compact for Sally). My bike has 808 clincher Firecrest wheels, her's has a pair of 998gr 25mm deep tubulars. Can't wait to get these down to the Catskills.
