Asheville NC

I have an opportunity to go there for a few days and do some riding with a friend. This is Blue Ridge cycling awesomeness, right? Weather good at the end of March? I did some googling and read the town had "edgy bohemian energy." What? Really?

Any thoughts on a few days in Asheville? TIA

Great town. Take your bike and every ride out of town on the BRP is uphill. The BRP is closed in the winter so check ahead with Liberty bikes to find out the status of the road.

Ashville and it's surroundings are high enough that good weather in March is by no means a certainty.

It's gotten to be a favorite summer retreat for people from the deep south or southwest since, as the locals say; "the altitude gets the better of the latitude".

I was there a few years ago, great little town, really awesome food and really awesome beer and really awesome riding, is there really anything else one needs?.
End of March can be great, you could hit some nice weather in the 70's if you are lucky.
It isn't just the Blue Ridge Parkway, there are many great roads all around the area.

Thanks

Unfortunately that trip has fallen through, though I learned enough to want to go some other time.

I am going to NYC in April, but I don't expect the riding to be quite so awesome...
