EPO test procedure must be kept secret - Tygart

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/lausanne-laboratory-gave-armstrong-key-to-beating-epo-test-says-tygart

I find the article rather biased. The question it raises for me is how is a rider expected to challenge a test result without having access to the test methodology?

Another question is how anyone at the Lausanne lab was supposed to know that the positive test that they found was for Armstrong? It's supposed to be a blind test. They're supposed to report positives to the UCI with the number of the test sample and the UCI has the code to figure out whose sample it was.

I think you'd get access to the methodology once you've been told you've failed a test?

What the article implies is that it must of been the UCI that told the laboratory about Lance and the "need" to have a talk with him.

Technically, if he has an edge over all the other 'cheaters'....

I have always suspected exactly this. And I have referred to LA as being 'Teflon' so many times I could not possible count them...

All I know is the Lance years where my fav for watching the sport, even my wife became semi proficient as understanding the race/rules. I always get a chuckle when she has a race expert at work which she debunks all their comments on race theory.

The old "I am behind you, but I am actually in front of you" escapes a lot of folks... ;)
