A very well written and presented article. Certainly a cautionary tale for the skiers and other risk-takers amongst us.

Life Changing event for the story characters in a blink of an eye thanks to beauty and power of Mother Nature.

A rather depressing holiday read for me. Also, one of my casual aquaintant lost his edge,, crasghed into a tree and died. I hadn't started my season at that point and it really bothers me knowing death are not abstract but come to people I know...

It doesn't exactly help to know I did exactly like those guys, following "locals" out of bounds, trusting THEY know what they're doing, because I don't!

That said, I really, really enjoy the article. Really impressed by how well it's put together. I'm glad New York Time is forging on in the new digital era and showing how it can be done! I'm looking forward to the next generation of digital media.
